The Republican Schools of High
Sports Mastery of Sports Games
The Republican Schools of High Sports Mastery of Sports
Games was founded in 1986 and has 6 departments in the
divisions such as basketball, volleyball, handball,
chess, grass-hockey, tennis and table tennis, consisting
of 281 people (world-class masters of sports–14, masters
of sports – 92, master of sports candidates – 19).
The main activities of the School include preparing
sportsmen for successful participation of national combined
teams at international competitions as well as preparing
reserves for the combined teams. Currently the major
competitions are considered Central Asian Games and
Asian Championship in Sports Games.
The faculty consists of 17 highly qualified and experienced
trainers of top and first categories, who are Deserved
Trainers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The education process is held in the sports bases such
as at Uzbek State National University for handball,
the State Institute of Physical Culture for volleyball,
Basketball Center of the Central Officer’s House for
basketball (men and women), Secondary School #50 for
table tennis, Sitora Stadium (in Bukhara) for women’s
grass-hockey combined teams, Druzhba Narodov Stadium
(in Andizhan) for men’s grass-hockey combined teams.
Today, the sportsmen of our School are striving hard
to receive a license for participation in Olympics,
and particularly in the worldwide developed tennis.

The Republican School
of High Sports Mastery of Single Combat unites 19 types
of sports, which are wrestling: Greek-Roman, free-style
judo “men and women”, Korean wrestling Sirim, Uzbek
kurash and belbogli kurash, sports single combat Turon
and Eastern types such as mui-thai, kickboxing, karate-do,
shotokan-karate-do, taekwondo, boxing, professional
boxing, fencing, and heavy athletics.
There have been made up combined teams
on the above-mentioned sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan,
which are aimed at carrying out sports and technical
mastery and successful performance at international
competitions. The main stage of training for forthcoming
international tournaments is preparing for the forthcoming
Olympic Games which will be held in Athens in 2004.
Senior trainers, in association with
groups of scientific maintenance, develop the technique
of realization of training process. They observe physical
and physiological changes of sportsmen, coordinate their
load with the subsequent performance at competitions,
at the same time, raising the level of readiness of
the training staff.
In 2002, the representatives of Republican
School of High Sports Mastery of Single Combat won 208
medals of different worth at various competitions. One
of the major competitions were finals ones in the XIV
program. At the Central Asian Games in Busan, where
they were awarded 24 medals, 8 of which are gold: boxing
– 5, free-style wrestling – 2, greek-roman wrestling
– 1, excluding 6 silver and 10 bronze ones. The toughest
kinds of sports became boxing, free-style wrestling,
greek-roman wrestling and promoted their level on heavy
athletics, fencing, taekwondo, WTF and others.
For the first half-year, sportsmen
of the School have won 15 medals of different worths
at a number of official international competitions,
4 of which are gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze.
As it was in the previous year, the
sportsmen of boxing, weightlifting, free-style wrestling,
and greco-roman wrestling have been extremely dynamic
in taking part at the world championships. The other
kinds of sports are preparing hard for forthcoming competitions
of international scale, which are stipulated in the
second half of 2003.
The major task of Republican School
of High Sports Mastery of Single Combat is to make Uzbek
sportsmen receive as more licenses as possible, which
enable them to take part in forthcoming Olympic games.

The Republican School
of High Sports Mastery of Water Sports was founded in
1965. Thanks to the Independence of the Repubilc of
Uzbekistan, in 1991, the School started to show its
achievements in the world arena.
The School has rowing base in Tashkent Sea, which includes
7 types of water sports:
· rowing
· canoe/kayak slalom
· rowing slalom
· swimming
· synchronized navigation
· water polo
· diving

The major activities
of the School include carrying out activities in preparing
athletes of higher class for participating in Asian
and world championships, and Asian and Olympic games
in athletics.
The School of High Sports Mastery of Light Athletics
has 5 departments and 250 athletes, who are lead by
senior trainers of departments: Sprint-hurdle, jumping
(high jump, broad jump, standing broad jump, running
broad jump), hammer-throwing, javelin throwing, all-round
competitions. The team of trainers of combined teams
of 17 people, which coordinate the activity of 75 trainers
of Volunteer Sports Association, departments, Sports
Schools of Children and Adults and Specialized Olympic
Training School of Children and Adults.
The faculty consists of 21world-class sports masters
and 40 of the Republican of Uzbekistan, who are striving
for international standards.

of Equestrian Sport |

The Republican School of
High Sports Mastery of Equestrian Sport is one of the
oldest sports schools in the country, founded in the
early 30s. It has 3 divisions, which are show jumping,
triathlon, and equipage. The student body includes 150
students, which come from all around Uzbekistan. Since
1962, Uzbekistan has been holding annual National Championships,
where all the cities and regions of Uzbekistan have
been taking part. Currently the School has 7 branches
in different regions of Uzbekistan including Andizhan,
Bukhara, Syrdarya, Surkhandarya, Ferghana, Namangan
and the Tashkent city.
The School established a combined team in all three
divisions, consisting of 15 people. Since 1997, the
sportsmen of the School have been taking part at most
of the world competitions in various countries, where
they are putting their country on the map.

of Football |
| The Republican School
of High Sports Mastery of Football was initially founded
in 1980. The founders – former directors – who devoted
themselves made a great contribution of the development
of the School were A. Azizkhodjaeva, Z. Qurbanov.
Currently, the faculty of the school consists of 17
highly qualified and experienced trainers. Since 1972,
the chief trainer of the school has been the Deserved
Trainer of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Arutyunov,
who is managing the staff of best football trainers
of Uzbekistan, who are also the Deserved Trainers of
the Republic of Uzbekistan V. Borisov, Y. Bondarchuk,
and the trainers of the top category A. Ubaydullaev,
G. Denisov, E. Kazakov, R. Ineleev.
For the period of its activity, the School has produced
the teams of top and first leagues, more than 150 sportsmen,
such as M. Kasimov, I. Shkvyrin, V. Kechenov, Sh. Maksudov,
A. Pyatnitskiy, A. Akopyanz, and many others who became
world champions football legends in the CIS.
The trainers of the School are those who took part and
became the prizewinners of most CIS and Asian championships.
The Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan gave
their students great opportunity to participate at world
competitions, for which they are working hard and promote
the reputation of their Country. The first results were
seen in 1994, when they took the first place in Asian
Games, and the fourth place to participate in the final
game of World Championship among youth (born in 1983-84).
Moreover, in 2002, the youth team (born in 1986) was
placed 4th in Asian Championship.

of Winter and Complex-technical Sports |

In accordance with
the Decree of the Goverment of Uzbekistan, in September
1969, the Palace of Sports Yubilleyny with ice arena
was given for use. On the basis of Regulations of the
Government of Uzbekistan of Measures on the Development
of Hockey and Fugure Skating in the Republic (March,
26, 1971, #129), the School of Hockey and Ice skating
of Children and Adults, with 400 student body was founded.
Under the same Decree of the Uzbek Committee of Company
Union and State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports,
team of ice hockey masters Binokor was created. In 1982,
under the Palace of Sports Yubileyny, Edication and
Training skating rink with standard ice platform was
established.
With a view of the further development in Republic of
winter sports, by the Decree of the State Committee
for Physical Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan (September
9, 1987, #1509) at the school, were established departments
of skiing, freestyle, and the school was reorganized
and became the Republican Specialized School of Winter
Games Olympic Reserve of Children and Adults. The primary
goal of the School is to prepare highly qualified world-class
sportsmen.
Among the international competition winners – the prides
of Uzbekistan – are Tatyana Malinina, Roman Skornjakov,
Alik Stergiadu, Yuris Razgulyaev, Natalia Ponomaryova,
Eugeny Sviridov, Marina Aganina, Artyom Knyazev and
many others. In 1999, Tatyana Malinina became the winner
of Grandpre – the best sportsmen athlete of the world
in ice-skating.
The mountain skiing world and Asian champions – the
prize-winners of championship – are Olga Fedina, Elvira
Khaliulina, Kamil Urumbaev, Elmira Urumbaeva, Ruslan
and Askar Yenikeevs and Ali Tukhtaev.
In freestyle there have been produced 5 masters of sports
of international class, the prize-winner of the world
championship and stages of World and Europe Cup – Sergey
Brener; the World Champion of 1991 – Vasilisa Semenchuk;
World Champion of 1993, the winner of XVII Winter Olympics
in Lillehammer, Norway in 1994, the winner of Grandpre
Cups in 1993 and 1994 – Leena Cheryazova.

The Republican school of
the higher sports mastery of gymnastics has been created
on August, 1st, 2007, on the basis of the Decision of
the Cabinet of Republic Uzbekistan for ¹ 161.
The basic direction of activity RSHSM on gymnastics
is gymnastics development as sports of the higher achievements
on disciplines - sports gymnastics, art gymnastics,
trampolin and acrobatics.
Following cores are defined by criteria of an estimation
of activity of school:
- The results reached by gymnasts on Olympic, Asian
games,
The championships and cups of the world, Asia and other
prestigious international
Competitions;
- A skill level of teaching structure of school
The Republican school of the higher sports mastery on
gymnastics is specialised division of the Ministry of
culture and sport affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan,
carrying out functions of the centralised preparation
of sportsmen, an organizational-methodical management
of development of a kind of sports in republic territory.
The school main task is preparation of the highly skilled
sportsmen capable during an Olympic cycle to be a part
of candidates for a national team of the country and
to reach level of results of the international class.
For the decision of this problem RSHSM exercises administration
of preparation of the sports reserves providing participation
of the representatives in republican and international
competitions, will organise carrying out of sports actions
and work of constantly operating gathering with variable
structure of sportsmen. In these purposes it unites
under the beginning and directs activity of all sports
divisions of the republic connected with development
of kinds of sports, concentrates and uses necessary
material and financial resources, sports base and trainer's
shots irrespective of a departmental Accessory.
In RSHSM of gymnastics works on the basis of 4 branches
by following kinds of sports:
1. Sports acrobatics
2. Sports gymnastics (female and man's)
3. Art gymnastics
4. Trampolin
Primary goal RSHSM is preparation of the high-class
sportsmen, capable to protect honour of the Country
at competitions of the high rank and a reserve in structure
of national teams of Republic.
At present in RSHSM of gymnastics members of national
teams of Uzbekistan train under the direction of 13
trainers-teachers from them: four Deserved trainers
of Uzbekistan, four trainers of the highest category.
The general contingent of school 125 sportsmen (make
the basic structure - 62 person, structure of trainees
- 63 persons).

Republic Uzbekistan» 9 sportsmen have a rank;
- «The Master of sports of Republic Uzbekistan» 38 sportsmen
have a rank;
